Research lines in Heritage Science
My main research activity focuses on the development and implementation of efficient computational strategies for the description of molecular properties in complex systems, such as molecules in solution or embedded in a biological matrix.
The application of such techniques, together with standard methods of quantum chemistry, can provide computational support to the experimental research focused on the characterization of materials and pigments in cultural heritage manufacts.
Instrumentation
• Computational facilities of the MoLECoLab group, which include computer nodes with a total of about 1000 CPU cores, 8 GPUs for HPC applications and large storage capabilities.
