• Study of medieval iconographic sources in relation to the historical context of production.
• Study of the connections between forms of politics, culture and late medieval city society.
• Edition of documents and narrative sources, in particular of mendicant preaching and city chronicles.
• Cultural history of Pisa in the 13th and 14th centuries.
